Digital Surveillance is one of the most quickly growing industries and
for a good reason. It is shaping American culture as right now. Families are
using Digital Surveillance to keep track in what is going on around their
house at all times. They are able to save all data to their computer. Police are
using Digital Surveillance to capture criminals. Digital Surveillance seems
like a big fabric of our society holding today’s American together.
Now Digital Surveillance is valued in the market at 3 Billion dollars.
It is because of the technological advances in the past few years. It has made
Digital Surveillance more accessible to average American. That is true
mostly because it has become a lot cheaper now then in the past years. Also
before, the files used to be really big. The files were so big that you can
barely keep any videos on your computer. When you compressed the files,
make the files smaller, the video would lose quality but not anymore.
One of the reasons Digital Surveillance is becoming so popular now is
because of the software for it. Now you can compress your Digital
Surveillance files and not lose any quality. That means you can have more
videos on your computer with amazing quality. This is great news for the
Digital Surveillance companies because more people will buy their products
for that reason. Also, since the technology has grown so much in the past
few years, it means in the next few years, Digital Surveillance products will
only get more powerful and easier to use not to mention become cheaper.
Another reason Digital Surveillance is becoming so important to
American culture is that people have found more uses for it. Before, Digital
Surveillance just had hours of video where nothing went on. Now they have
motion detection where they can capture video of important things when
someone does something in the camera. Features like that are going to lure
people into using Digital Surveillance.
The main reason Digital Surveillance is disturbing American culture
is that it takes away people’s privacy. With people being video taped at all
times anyone can take a video of someone then put it on the internet. With
the rise of Youtube, if get caught doing something with Digital Surveillance,
millions of people can see it the next day.
Using Digital Surveillance to put video on the internet isn’t all bad.
The police can solve crimes using some of the videos. If they have a crime
committed and put it on Youtube, the police can identify everyone who is
involved and make arrests. They can also use those videos to help convict
people of many crimes and not only to make arrests.
After all the information, you can see why Digital Surveillance is a 3
billion dollar industry now. With Digital Surveillance being able to solve
crimes and help convict people. Also with it being better than regular
Surveillance because your able to store videos on your computer. Since
Digital Surveillance is on the rise too, you can really see that Digital
Surveillance will have a real affect on American culture for years to come.
