Back in the days cell phones were larger in size and it would be embarrassing to
carry it around everywhere because it would look awkward to fit a device the size of a
foot in your pants pocket. Now cell companies came up with odd names for cell phones
such as the razor, chocolate and candy phones from Motorola. Today these cell phones
are thinner, lighter, fashionable and its easy to carry. Cell phones make communication
much more advanced, like you can send private messages, text message and you can also
surf the internet and download mp3s and videos. Also there is a new GPS system to see
where your friends are at so you can meet up with them and it makes communication
much more advanced. But there are some negative aspects of cell phones. Say you have a
cell phone that has built up information from text messaging or private messages, your
list of phone numbers and you deleted all that information before exchanging it for a new
model. That old cell phone’s lost information can be brought back by a program that is
very cheap or it is downloadable from the internet. In schools cell phones have been
banned because in schools they were not allowed but still students still bring them and if
students are caught with their cell phones chatting or texting, they will be confiscated.
Cell phone conversations are being monitored by government which has been proved in
the 911 incident. We do not have our full privacy for that. Cell phone users are growing
every year and companies are making lots of money and research shows that people using
cell phone often might be putting their health at risk because it is said that it can cause
brain damage.

children. Fifty seven percent parents worry that strangers will contact their children .

strangers .Ffifty percent report emailing or instant messaging with someone they have

The extensive growth in the wireless communications industry over the past ten years has
been accompanied by growing concern for the possilbe hazards of drivers using wireless
communication devices in moving vehicles. The National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration's mission was to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce
traffic-related health care and other economic costs . Based on the information I have
collected I concluded that in some cases distraction can be caused by cellular telephone
while driving which increases car crashes.The research studies and crash data
show several factors by which cellular telephone use while driving can increase the
risk of a crash. Americans spend their time commuting with members
at work of high importance on keeping up with their tasks and activities. It is
not surprising that individuals will attempt to use their time with cell phones in their
car and by driving at the same time.

In conclusion cell phones play a major role in our life. With out it would be hard to communicate .
Even though it has both positive and negative effects we still continue to use cell phones in our daily lives.
