You might ask yourself what is camera surveillance?. Well it is also known as video surveillance but usually mostly referred as video surveillance. Camera Surveillance are cameras that work as video recorders that record anything that you do. In some ways it might be helpful and it might also harm people even if you believe it or not. Surveillance can be helpful in various ways. For example if there was a crime occurring and a camera surveillance was installed where the crime was there would be clear evidence of what really happened and the police wouldn’t have to go through what people are saying. Another way that surveillance is helpful is by a form of security. Even though you might know a lot of people use this advance technology even in their homes. Not only is this device used in homes but also in businesses, schools, and many public places, it is also used in streets to control traffic. This device can be so small that you wouldn’t even know that it is recording anything that you are doing. Some parents that are concerned of how their kids are being taken care of by babysitters install this device in teddy bears or anything very small and they then see many things that they wouldn’t want to and that is used as a piece of evidence against them. Even though until now I have told you how camera surveillance is used in a good way there are also ways that people don’t feel secure around them. For example people feel that if cameras are installed in all the streets it would invade your privacy. In which I also agree. I think that is a way that the government would be watching your every move and it wouldn’t be a free country anymore because we would always be watched and it wouldn’t be right.
Surveillance has a different meaning in French which mean to watch over. Most of the surveillance cameras were installed around the 1980’s and 1990’s. There is not only one type of security camera that you can use, there are many and it also depends on what way you are going to be using it. Some kinds of surveillance cameras are BW security cameras, color security cameras, wireless security cameras, night vision security cameras, and vandal resistant security cameras. They don’t only work differently, but are also different in design and in price. A big advantage of having a camera surveillance installed in your home is that you will be able to capture people that are in your property, also security cameras in your home help you reduce homeowner’s insurance, a big advantage is that you can remote everyone’s movement inside in your home.
