One thing I discovered is that the Marine Corps has had a myspace account since August 2006.
They have over 14,500 friends signed up as users on their friend lists.
The Air Force also advertises on Myspace, however they do not have a profile.

I find it interesting the tthe idea originated in the japanese Marine Corps.
I also found it interesting that it works so effectively that they get 25-30 recruits a month.

I wonder how they came up with such a brilliant idea?

I did not know the Pentagon was preparing to make it's own internet.
This plan might cost $24 Billion.
The army wants to deploy a war-fighting force at anytime, anyplace.

I find it interesting that Peter Teets calls it "Internet in the sky".
It might take 10-15 years of spending to fully complete.

I discovered that the AKO started in 1999.
You can use AKO to check your status if you are or were in the army.
Troops can use AKO to securely instant message each other to communicate when needed.

I find it interesting that all files transferred on AKO are encrypted for safety.
Everything is automatically backed up on the AKO network.

I discovered that recruiting was more difficult in the 20th century.

I discovered that MMO stands fo massively multiplayer online.
People pay cash for virtual items that aren't actually real.
Everquest was the pioneer of MMO games.

I find it interesting that people can make so much money through these games.

I discovered that the Internet Society (ISOC) has members in more than 180 countries.
ISOC is a par of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
The ISOC was created in 1992.

I find it interesting that ISOC sponsors events like it's International Networking (INET)
ISOC consists of over 100 different organizations.
