I discovered in the late 1950's and again in the 1970's people complained about subliminal messages and inspired government to outlaw it.
Also I discovered that studies showing subliminal advertising had increased popcorn sales by precisely 57.5 percent, and Coca-Cola sales by 18.1 percent.
I found it interesting that persuaders are hired to reach us through our emotions. Also NewJersey cinema flashed split second ads to eat popcorn and drink Coca-cola. Nobody was able to realize because it is not able to be seen by the naked eye but influenced people subconsciously.
Are messages more powerful and persuasive when shown subliminally? Can subliminal messages make people lose weight or stop smoking?
